It is not very clear whether or not will never come to these shores, but if anything happens, the future owners of Nokia N9 will be happy to know that yesterday is available for Nokia N950 (which of N9 is the developer version) is available a beta client for access to Ovi Store for Meego.

In making the announcement, a statement posted on the Forum Nokia developer, the area of the site of the Finnish manufacturer intended for programmers and software houses:

Greetings to all developers of Nokia N950 devices!

A beta version of the client for the N950 Ovi Store has been available as an upgrade. Your N950 will find it automatically in about 24 hours, but the impatient can go into the settings and run upgrades for applications.

This update will complete the offer end-to-end. Now you can develop applications / content development system with SDJK (Qt SDK 1.1.2) publicly available, and see the layout and the look and feel of applications on OVI Store. Finally, you can share applications with other users on OVI Store, or download and test what your colleagues are charging.

Most of the available applications will work on your N950 firmware 1.2011.22-6. However, few of the applications have been created with the SDK in pre-production to newer, for now, might not work on your devices. These applications will work after we have made available the next firmware update (no dates, sorry).
