RIM has officially announced two new smartphones that had already been anticipated on several occasions. This is the Bold 9790 with a QWERTY keyboard and the Curve 9380 full-touch, both with the BlackBerry operating system OS7 and screen HVGA + (480 x 360 pixels). The Bold 9790 will come with display from 2:45 “touchscreen, 1GHz processor Marvel Tavor MG1, 768MB RAM, 8GB of disk space, a 5 megapixel camera that records VGA video and a microSD slot. In terms of connectivity the Bold 9790 is equipped with WiFi, 3G HSPA, GPS and NFC finally.
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 Curve is the first without and then full touchscreen QWERTY keyboard, the display measures 3.2 “diagonally and resolution HVGA +.
The other features are not exceptional; the processor is a 806MHz, 512MB RAM and 512MB of internal memory, expandable with microSD.
Although touch screen, this new Curve mandiene the optical trackpad. The package includes connectivity is good and, like the new Bold, WiFi, 3G HSPA, GPS and NFC.
Both phones will be available within a couple of weeks.
