Smartphones Facebook: why not work

Smartphones The smartphone is a misconception of Facebook? Even Facebook can go wrong, despite all the billions of dollars of capital he can count on, and despite the brilliant minds that have made it one of the most visited websites in the world? Because this smartphone, code-named Buffy and which little is known, is already destined to end in “oblivion”?

The reasons could be many, starting with the fact that it is definitely a novelty. Being a phone made by Facebook, it is normal to focus on the possibility for the user, quick and easy access to the services that companies offer. But in the past have been other smartphone designed specifically for this purpose and have made inroads in the hearts (and wallets) of users.

Facebook, for his phone, he decided to rely on a modified version of Google Android in the house. Because Google and Facebook are competitors from several points of view, not least that of social networks, especially after the birth of Google +, how likely is it that Google allow the FacebookPhone to succeed? Honestly, few, even at the cost of “playing dirty”, such as limiting certain features of Facebook on smartphones.

Another consideration that comes to mind is: Facebook is in the past been accused of “stealing” the personal data of its users and sell them to third marketing companies. It ‘one thing that has kept FB on the edge for some time. How many people will be willing to buy a phone made by Facebook itself, which would give the company more opportunity to access their personal data?

Finally, looking at a future perspective, I think there is much scope for competition between the iPhone and FacebookPhone, current market leaders. The iPhone is an institution against which Google and others (such as RIM and Nokia) are struggling with more or less successful day after day. Is there really room for another competitor that starts practically from scratch.
