The Intel is ready to plunge headlong into the world of smartphones to give users a new experience in personal computing. These are the words of Paul Otellini, CEO of the American leader in the production of processors. According to Otellini, in fact, the user experience is moving from the personal computer industry, where Intel dominates with nothing short of excellent quality, that of the aforementioned personal computing. Simply put, it’s back on smartphone the same experience that a user has been on a personal computer.
According to Otellini said at CES 2012, in fact, today only 10% of total assets that a user plays with his smartphone, this is the call. The modern mobile, iPhone or Android that they are increasingly used to make tasks “computer” look at Google maps, navigating the Web, read and write emails, write posts on their blogs, download and install applications and more .
In order to be prepared, whereas the world of smartphones is basically just the beginning, Intel has already prepared a smartphone to be launched on the Chinese market from the second quarter of this year, under the operator China Unicom. This is the new smartphone Lenovo K800, which Otellini presented on stage at CES along with Liu Jun, senior vice president of China.
Among the features that this phone will have, there is a 8 megapixel camera, screen with full HD capabilities, battery life of up to 14 hours on standby and, of course, Intel.
We are really curious to see in what way the U.S. Company deemed to be moving in the field of smartphones. Starting with a strong experience accumulated over the years in the desktop first, and notebook, then, we are sure it can do well.
We conclude with a sentence that said Otellini during his keynote: the power of a smartphone, today, is greater than that used in 1969 by NASA to send the first man on the moon. Think of a thing a few years ago, we would have got mad.
