If you have been attentive to the technical features of the new Nokia smartphone, you will realize that they are equipped with AMOLED ClearBlack. What technology “ClearBlack” display makes it better? He thought the same Nokia to explain how this innovation that, in short, is based on a series of layers used polarized to reduce glare, resulting in better visibility in low light.
The process is, in reality, slightly more complex: the rays of light are processed several times by the layers, both that from entering or leaving from the display. Nokia describes the whole process of manipulation of light:
The light strikes the linear polarizer, which polarizes the vertically aligning the vibration of the waves in a particular direction. The rays hit then a layer with circular polarization, which reprocesses the light by sending it to the display, on which bounces and commute his rotation to the left. Finally, the light strikes the linear polarizer and, since it is horizontally polarized, is blocked.
The light emitted from the display is not blocked because it travels only towards the outside and is not polarized when it passes through the final filter.
