The iPhone OS app crashing more than Android

The app that run on operating systems iOS crashing, in general, more than those that run on Android. And ‘this is the result of a study performed by Crittercism, made on the basis of the “crash” of the app between the first and December 15, 2011. We conclude that the operating system on which the app is crashing more iOS 5.0.1, on which they turned many as 28.64% of the app crashate during the reference period of the study.

Then follows IOS 4.2.10, with 12.64% of the crash, and only in third place, there is the first version of the Android operating system in this special list, namely 4.3.3, with 10.66% of total crashes.

How come the app crashing more about IOS on Android? Surely it is significant that the operating system on which the app creates more conflict is the latest IOS version released by Apple. As is known, in fact, new software and updates, especially with the major release, creating problems of bugs that will be corrected over time by the developers.

We may then ask why there is a second version 4.2.10 now released several months ago from the house of Cupertino. The thing we must not forget that the app is subjected to the continuous process of renovation, with the developers that continuously release new versions for additional features or for simple bug fixes. Not all users are always so careful and constant updating their app, which in the long run could lead to compatibility problems, both hardware and software, and then the crash.

Finally a little note. In the days when this study was performed, 4 Android was not yet widespread on many smartphones. It would be nice to revisit this study frequently updated.
