The Samsung said its newest jewel, the Galaxy SIII, will not be presented at the Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona from February 27 to March 1, 2012. We have already talked about the fact that the alleged release date of the Galaxy SIII on the market could be in March of this year , the 13th of the month, to be precise.
But the doubt was left about a possible official presentation of the device at the WMC 2012, now denied by the same Korean company that, CNET UK, said that the latest version of the Galaxy will not be present at the WMC in an official manner, but will presented in a separate event, in any case within the first half of 2012, just days before the official launch on the market.
What are the motivations that led Samsung to decide not to bring the Galaxy SIII at the WMC, which is also one of the most important technology fairs in the world in terms of smartphone? It seems that just the size of the fair was the main motivation. Many phones and many competitors could, according to the Korean summit, diverting attention from the Galaxy SIII, the telephone at which point a lot and the Korean company which wants to make a great media impact.
From a hardware perspective, remember that the Galaxy SIII will have a Quad Core processor, HD display and a camera that reaches even 12 megapixels. From a software perspective, however, there will be the new Android 4, the latest version of Google Mobile OS.
So this is a great expectation towards smartphones at the WMC and its absence makes us a little ‘sigh with sadness. Personally I was hoping to be able to finally see in action. The question that remains, and in any event that recurs whenever a competitor on the market at a great smartphone: the iPhone will be the definitive anti?
