The Motorola is planning to update the operating systems installed on its smartphone and it does release a “program update” from which emerges some interesting information. So, let’s see what awaits us in the coming weeks.
First, we have the Motorola Motoluxe, smartphones we’ve seen a hands-on during the last MWC 2012. This device may receive, during the next few months, an update to Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. According to development plans of the U.S., in fact, the upgrade could be a future option, although we still do not know when we receive them.
Interesting update the programming of Motorola Xoom. For the MZ604, the latest version of the Google operating system will arrive during the second quarter of 2012, while both the Xoom 2 and Xoom for the Media 2 Edition, the update is expected a few weeks later, during the third quarter of this years. The Motorola Xoom MZ601 has rather an upgrade planned in the program, but is not yet known when. The same applies to the Motorola Pro +, for which is provided for the updating of the OS, but we do not know when it is actually achieved.
As for the Motorola Razr, in order to use the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, users must wait for the next quarter.
Bad news however for those with a Motorola Defy, Defy a Mini or a Milestone 2 A953. In fact, these smartphones will not receive the upgrade to Android 4, but will remain at version 2.3. Really a pity, when the American company could also lead them to Ice Cream Sandwich 3 smartphone and do so with an update in a complete manner. The decision could not do anything but increase the fragmentation of Android, do not you think?
