Check the web a new high-end phone, codenamed LG D1L, ready to be launched in May with interesting technical characteristics: it seems that the phone has the same display of the LG Optimus 4X HD display as 720p, has a processor Snapdragon S4 dual-core instead of the Tegra 3 used on Optimus 4X HD, plus LTE connectivity.
All this information is leaked through a slide presentation shown at LG, during which they discussed the line of LTE phones in the pipeline. More than being a brand new smartphone, this resembled a version D1L “refreshed” and updated the flagship LG Optimus 4X HD, but with a Qualcomm chipset suitable for LTE connectivity.
This is the same move made by HTC with its high-end smartphones One X, the version that LTE will Snapdragon processor S4, while in its HSPA + for the rest of the world will have quad-core Tegra 3. If the launch of LG D1L LG really planned for next month, soon we will know much more.
