Samsung will use phosphorescent green pixels in the Galaxy S III

SamsungOne of the advantages of LCD, AMOLED screen compared to Samsung, is consuming the same amount of energy no matter what colors show. The AMOLED suffer dramatic peak power consumption while viewing the white color, although they are more efficient with colored or dark images. In any case, during testing, the battery of the smartphone navigation with LCD display is an advantage over batteries of phones with AMOLED, thanks to the spread of white backgrounds on websites.

The advantage of LCDs may soon be overcome: it seems Samsung is using the green phosphorescent AMOLED the pixels of the display Super HD Plus that will be mounted on the Samsung Galaxy S III. The trick allows obtaining energy consumption while displaying blank pages equal to that seen with LCD display average brightness. The display of Samsung Galaxy S III will be superior to the IPS-LCD display for viewing video and images used on devices like iPhone 4/iPhone 4S.

The display of Samsung Galaxy S III will measure 4.6 inches with a pixel density of 319ppi, thanks to the arrangement of the regular array of RGB subpixels, and provide a battery life to beat the competition.
