Risto Siilasmaa, board member of Nokia, has released an important statement in an interview broadcast on Finnish TV, theoretically capable of upsetting future balances. During the interview it says that the Android operating system is in future programs of Nokia Windows Phone 8 are not gonna screw in the market.
In the same interview, however Siilasmaa also said that you personally satisfied with the current situation and how things are evolving with the system of Microsoft, then most likely you will not need such a “plan B”.
At this time Microsoft and Nokia are working very closely and are betting on a future very well defined that will not stop until the mobile phone world. There will be some changes that will bring the Finnish brand to explore other areas.
It ‘clear that if Nokia adopts Android would be happy that many fans of the brand at the time were diverted to other manufacturers because they were attracted by the green robot. There would, perhaps, the opportunity to sell more smartphones. However, such a turn of events seems unlikely, it is said that the contract between Nokia and Microsoft to contain clauses that force the Finns to focus all their efforts on WP.
Update: Nokia has just wanted to deny and to calm people down, it has contacted the editors of GSMArena to specify that the President of Nokia has not explicitly said that Android is part of a possible plan B, but if that fails we must immediately find a WP8 ‘ Alternatively.
The substance of the declaration does not change things much, in fact, today there would be no alternative but to switch to Android, so it is very likely that Nokia is (underneath) already thinking about how to adopt it.
