Vodafone Smart 2 is a smartphone with all the economic potential of a higher end phone. Following the strategy introduced a few years ago with the Vodafone Ideos and last year with the first generation of Smart Vodafone, the phone company offers the smartphone to 99 euros in order to satisfy those customers who are looking for a cheap phone but with all features a smartphone Android.
Small versatile and lightweight, the Smart 2 is very easy to use intuitive interface of the Android system that allows a fast and smooth all the screens. The phone does not lack anything; in fact have a 3-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth which allow multipurpose use of the device.
The changes from the original Vodafone Smart are many and are noticed, such as the screen has a resolution greater than the previous, also improved the brightness and the response of the touch screen. But now we look at the Vodafone Smart 2 in detail.
Design and Ergonomics
Compared to Vodafone Ideos and the Smart, the Smart 2 is not built by Huawei but the French Alcatel, the phone shows solid and well assembled, the presence of the plastic back cover divided into two parts does not affect the quality of the product as the design does not leave too much room empty and the phone will show well done. The rear cover can be interchanged to customize your phone, in addition to the monochrome colors offered, the user can match the frame of a color with the inside of another, giving the phone a new look.
Holding the phone we quickly realize of materials: plastics used are of good quality and the phone is pleasant and comfortable to hold. Small and functional, in some situations may prove to be a bit ‘slippery, like most phones with smooth plastic cover. Certainly, when compared to other phones of same price range, the Vodafone Smart features superior materials and excellent ergonomics.
Displays and Software
The operating system installed on the device is a stock version of Android Gingerbread, virtually the same as the previous Vodafone Smart. When using some applications, such as surfing the Internet, it shows some slowdown caused by the power not excellent from 832 MHz processor and 512 MB ram. On this device is not scheduled to arrive at the update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich in a public manner.
The display is of good quality compared to the trend in this price range: the resolution increases from the old 240 × 320 pixels to 320 × 480 Smart of Smart Vodafone 2: the definition of the images on the screen benefits from significantly better quality and allows a better experience with the device. Bright and well defined, the LCD has a good response from the point of view of the inputs with a good touch screen quite reactive and precise.
The use of all the days
The phone is very convenient for everyday use, small and compact; it is easy to carry around and provides us with all the functionality of a higher end phone. Email, social networks and internet are very good, with some exceptions in which the device slows down slightly. One of the minor flaws of this phone is the camera: the photographs do not create problems but the video recording is of poor quality. With a usage of the normal phone calls, messages and Internet, the operating time is longer than a day, but when you use your phone intensely from 1,150 mAh battery suffers a lot.
