Windows Phone 8 may support mass storage, farewell sync with Zune

Windows Phone 8More news coming on the future characteristics of WP8. It seems to “get back to basics” is the philosophy for this system, at least to judge the intentions of Microsoft.

The previous OS, Windows Mobile, up to version 6.5 had the versatility of its strength, just as today, Google does with Android and Symbian has always been very user-friendly. It would therefore be very useful to use our smartphones as mass storage. This would allow us to avoid unpleasant and unnecessary syncs with the Zune desktop system, an idea that was copied from Apple’s iTunes.

WPDang has today published an interesting piece of news which seems to indicate that this plan is the future of Microsoft: Windows Phone 8 will have that opportunity, so it seems. Of course there is only and official use of MicroSD, which was declared by Microsoft itself. This is in addition to the internal drive where we store our photos, music and video or install applications.

This would certainly be very positive, but do not hope to be able to pass through SD applications from one phone to another, just as it did on Windows Mobile. Microsoft has already made clear that it will not be possible.
