There is an announcement or official launch date, but according The Verge, we get to see next year, in spring, a revival in the market for its products from HTC.
It seems that HTC is planning to ride the wave of success of one series, offering two new models in rapid succession. After the announcement of the One X +, X One a larger version of HTC , the Taiwan company gets to work on a device code-named “Proto”.
The HTC Proto looks like an improved version of the HTC V One, or at least that’s the impression given, and will boast a slight hardware upgrade over its alleged predecessor.
Specifically, the Proto is slightly larger than the V-One, being equipped with a 4-inch WVGA SLCD and a 5-megapixel camera. Animating there will be a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225, much more powerful than single-core V-One, will take advantage of 4GB of internal space, 512 MB of RAM and will come with HSPA protocol to 7.2 Mbps All this to 9.62 mm thick.
It is uncertain whether the “Proto” will actually be marketed as an update of the One V or if HTC has other intentions, but it gives us definitely a good tasting, along with One X +, how it might be the new wave of smart phones of this brand.
